IRÖ music – Jazz project is a fresh collaboration with amazing Ukrainian jazz musicians. The project is currently on pause but is set to release its debut album in summer 2025.

«Sun in Deep Water»

The song «Sun in Deep Water» was recorded in the summer of 2019 in Kyiv. At that time, I listened to a lot of the band Mammal Hands: for many professional musicians this music may seem simple, but it was simplicity that made me fall in love with it with all my heart. Often their music is like a lullaby for trouble. So in this track I wanted to create something similar: despite the fact that the plot is set in 5/4, there is still a monotonous movement that compensates, that is, lulls the strange moments of life. And there is always hope. Like rays of sunlight through the water column.

This song is dedicated to Roma. One of my best friends who died defending my country from Russia. Russia killed Roma. But many projects will still be made in his memory by those who remain alive.

This recording consists of two songs:
1) is dedicated to Roman Solonynka 💔
2) is «Terpsichore», which is written by Valentyn Kornienko, an incredible Ukrainian jazz double bassist.The recording was made possible thanks to the 32 JazzClub.
